FAQ & Encyclopedia
What is the Compressed Method?
The Compressed Method is James's personal, experiential framework for observing how his body feels and moves in ordinary life. It grew from direct personal experimentation after years of chronic tension and postural collapse. It is educational and observational material, not a medical treatment, diagnostic system, clinical protocol, or scientifically validated method.
Is the chat free?
The chat is currently complimentary, with up to 7 turns per rolling 24-hour period on this guide across conversations on this domain. This arrangement is available until further notice. A safety-relevant message can still receive a safety response after the ordinary allowance is used. Membership is not currently available to buy.
Who is this for?
Compressed.guide is written primarily from a male midlife context, for people who recognise ongoing stiffness, changes in posture or movement, old injuries, body-image changes, or a sense that accumulated load is affecting everyday life. It does not diagnose the cause of those experiences. Others may find parts of the material relevant too.
Does it work at all stages?
James describes his own long-term process of observation and changing how he relates to movement and daily load. People differ in history, health, circumstances, and what they notice. Nothing here promises suitability, safety, or a particular outcome for anyone else.
Can I use this after surgery?
If you have had recent surgery, have a fresh or painful scar, or are unsure what is safe, seek advice from your surgical team or another appropriate qualified professional. This site does not provide post-operative protocols, self-checks for surgical areas, or advice for fresh wounds.
Is there a connection between posture, alcohol, and stress?
In James's own life, work pressure, movement, alcohol, sleep, and other inputs did not always feel separate. The chat can help you describe what you notice in your own experience. It does not diagnose a connection, explain the cause of symptoms, or claim that one area of life causes another.
Do I need equipment?
No equipment is needed to read the material or use the chat. The core of the site is observation of ordinary life and movement variation, not equipment, a treatment programme, or a requirement to buy anything.
Does the AI remember me across sites?
No. The current free chat stores conversation history only in your own browser on the device you are using, separately for each domain. It does not provide shared cross-site memory, cross-device sync, or server-side chat history.
How do I cancel?
There is no live paid membership or checkout at present, so there is nothing to cancel. Any future membership terms, including cancellation arrangements, will be published clearly before a paid product becomes available. See the Terms of Service for the current position.
Is this scientifically proven?
No. The Compressed Method is James's personal, experiential framework. It is not presented as clinical evidence, a treatment, or a scientifically validated method. The site distinguishes between James's own observations and established medical or scientific evidence.
